The two Norwegian firms are likely to use between 60 and 78 turbines rated at 5-8MW at Dudgeon offshore wind farm off eastern England under revised plans for the project, rather than the 168 originally consented, said Kari-Hege Mørk, stakeholder manager.

The capacity envisaged for the wind farm is now between 360MW and 400MW.

Statoil and Statkraft bought the UK Round 2 project from original developer Warwick Energy in October 2012, and have been carrying out detailed studies of the project plan and its site since then.
