Under the €40m ($53m) deal, Petrofacwill provide logistics management, platform support and maintenance services duringthe commission and testing of the two platforms.

The Siemens contract is the first wonby UK-based Petrofac since it set up its Petrofac Deutschlandsubsidiary in late 2012 to target the offshore wind market.

Petrofac said it willsupport Siemens “with a full range of support solutions tailored to the demandsof commissioning large platforms in the North Sea, including supply andmanagement of jack-up accommodation barges, supply ships, standby vessels andhelicopter transfers.
