Despite the government’s recent trumpet blast of supply chain-related announcements, including the formal launch of the UK’s Offshore Wind Industrial Strategy, Ainslie says the near-term opportunities for many companies look relatively scarce in British waters.
“Everyone thought Round 3 was going to go ahead in 2015,” Ainslie tells Recharge. “But it looks like Round 3’s not going to commence construction in earnest until 2017.”
