The order is for 43 of its V112-3.0 MW turbines for Eneco’s Luchterduinen offshore wind farm in the Netherlands, and includes a 15-year service agreement.
Construction is set to begin in mid 2014, with commissioning scheduled for 2015.
It is not clear if Vestas and Eneco were waiting to finalise the joint venture with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries it announced today before finalising the turbine deal.
