The group’s Strabag Offshore Windunit signed a memorandum of understanding naming the planned Humberside facility aspreferred location for mass production of the foundations.
AMEP is currently awaiting final planning consentfrom the UK government – a green light that has remained tantalisingly elusivefor some time but is due any week now.
The UK government has previously saidit is “minded” to approve AMEP, which said it could create about 4,000 jobs asa base for the UK’s fledgling offshore renewables industry – of which up to 500could come at the Strabag plant.
