A group including global green power giant Iberdrola has won the latest rights to build a major offshore wind farm off Japan, with Vestas set to supply the turbines.

The GK Happo Noshiro Offshore Wind consortium was selected today (Friday) by the Japanese government for a project off Happo Town and Noshiro City in Akita Prefecture, the latest in its rolling series of auctions for large-scale wind at sea.
