Nordex gets €100m EIB R&D loan

Nordex has secured a €100m ($138m) loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support wind turbine R&D.

The loan will help the German manufacturer work with partner companies and research bodies to increase the competitiveness of onshore wind, in support of EU climate policy objectives, said the EIB.

The bank said Nordex is one of the main companies working in the European wind sector, with a commitment to R&D a key factor in its success.
