Vestas wins 99MW Finland order

After a tough few years, renewables are ready to shine again
Vestas has announced a 99MW supply-and-install order in Finland, its largest so far in 2014.

The order, covering 30 of the Danish turbine giant’s V126-3.3MW machines, comes from Finnish wind developer TuuliWatti, and includes a five-year service agreement.

The first project that Vestas will install for TuuliWatti, Siikainen, is due for commissioning during the first-quarter of 2015, while the second, Kalajoki, is due on line in autumn 2015.

The deal lifts Vestas’s order intake this year to 193MW, following the 72.6MW order it unveiled earlier this week in Germany and a 21MW order in Costa Rica.
