Wind gearbox specialist Moventas has signed agreements to carry out service work for operators of 3MW WWD3 turbines built by the Finnish manufacturer WinWind.
Moventas’ customers, which include Finland’s Haminan Energia and Estonia’s
Nelja Energia, will be provided with a full service package including spare
parts, installation and in some cases crane works.
The work is scheduled for this spring and summer.
Moventas said problems with the turbines were detected by its CMaS
condition monitoring system, which will be used to flag up future problems in
