Resonance buys 17MW UK wind

Clean-energy investment specialist Resonance Asset Management has bought a 17MW portfolio of UK wind farms.

The four plants were acquired by Resonance’s British Wind Energy Income Fund, which has raised $100m and is targeting UK wind farms of 2MW to 10MW in scalel.

Resonance bought the 6MW Bettyhill Wind Farm in northern Scotland, developed by North British Windpower and Invenergy.

It also acquired three plants totalling 11MW developed by a joint venture between HgCapital and Wind Direct.
