Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has signed 59MW of orders to equip plants in Sweden for developer Eolus.

The four wind farms in southern Sweden – the 14MW Skalleberg and Mungseröd, and 13MW Alered and Ramsnäs – will use a mixture of Vestas turbines, including four V112 3.3MW machines.

The deal includes a 10-year service agreement.

Installation of the turbines will take place in the third and fourth quarters of next year.

Krister Poole Jönsson, vice president sales, Nordic & Baltics for Vestas said: "With this announcement, Vestas has reached a total of more than 400MW of firm orders with Eolus – Sweden’s leading wind power developer.”
