RES gets Borders wind farm OK

Developer RES has been given the go-ahead to build a 14-turbine wind farm in the Scottish Borders region.

The Scottish government approved the Penmanshiel project, which is likely to have a 28MW capacity.

One turbine was removed from the wind farm on visual impact grounds during the planning process.

RES did not specify a timescale for the project.
