TAG's Alex Dawson hails the deal as a 'significant achievement'

E.ON has chosen TAG Energy Solutions to manufacture monopiles and transition pieces (TPs) for the Humber Gateway offshore wind farm off northeast England.

Preparation work for the contract, which covers delivery of 16 60-metre, 650-tonne foundations and their TPs, will begin immediately at TAG's high-capacity fabrication facility on the banks of the River Tees in the northeast.

The first steel is slated to arrive next month, with the monopiles due for load-out by the fourth quarter. TAG has hired 60 people for the job.
