Intertek has previously carried out work for German transmission system operator TenneT

UK marine consultancy Intertek Energy & Water has landed a contract with French transmission system operator Réseau de Transporte d’Électricité (RTE) for survey work at the Saint-Nazaire and Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farms.

Intertek Energy & Water (formerly known as Intertek Metoc) will provide RTE with advice on a range of project areas as it moves into the procurement phase, including cable installation and protection, geotechnical works and risk management.

No financial terms were disclosed by Intertek, which says it has worked at more than 30 offshore wind projects in the UK and five in Germany. Past clients include TenneT and ScottishPower Renewables.
