Enercon accounted for 54.3% of new German wind installations last year, slightly down on its 2011 share, new figures show.

The market leader was followed by Vestas with 23.1% and REpower Systems with 10.6% in carving up the 2.44GW of wind added in Germany in 2012, says consultancy Dewi.

In 2011 Enercon took 59.5%, Vestas 21% and REpower 9.7% of the 2GW added that year.

Offshore wind accounted for just 2% of the total installed in 2012, the figures show.
