Vattenfall’s
wind
fleet
produced
3.6TWh
last
year,
up
from
3.4TWh
in
2011,
mainly
thanks
to
the
commissioning
of
the
150MW
Ormonde
offshore
plant
in
the
UK.
Although
the
clean-energy
part
of
its
portfolio
is
currently
dominated
by
hydropower,
the
Swedish
group’s
2013-17
investment
plan
has
wind
at
its
centre.
Over
the
five
years
Vattenfall
plans
to
put
SKr19bn
($2.97bn)
into
wind,
roughly
evenly
divided
between
onshore
and
offshore,
the
largest
chunk
that
is
earmarked
for
investment
in
new
production.
Its
offshore
project
interests
include
the
giant
7.2GW
