Alstom boosts ECO turbine range

French power equipment giant Alstom is upgrading its 3MW ECO 100 wind turbine range.

Alstom says the improvements will boost the net capacity factor of the range to up to 48%.

The upgrade means the ECO 110 turbine, currently designed for medium (Class 2-A) wind sites, becomes a medium and high winds (Class 2-A, and IS-Class) machine.

The ECO 122 turbine, currently suitable for Class 3 sites, is being upgraded to a medium- and low-winds (Class 3-A, and 2-B Class) model.
