Alstom’s
renewables
division
took
orders
of
€616m
($818m)
in
the
three
months
to
the
end
of
December,
the
group’s
financial
third
quarter.
That
was
ahead
of
€388m
in
the
second
quarter
and
a
Q1
€214m,
and
double
the
order
level
of
the
same
three
months
in
2011.
But
for
the
nine
months
as
a
whole,
orders
at
Alstom’s
renewables
operation
were
still
8%
down
at
€1.22bn.
The
French
group
says
the
order
surge
was
mainly
thanks
to
two
hydro
projects
in
Colombia
and
Ethiopia.
Third-quarter
Renewable
Power
sales
were
€408m,
up
11%
on
last
year’s
equivalent
period.
