The bosses of wind turbine giants Vestas, Alstom and Enerconare due to join those of Acciona, RES and ERG Renew at a press conference todiscuss the issue.
The companies are among 91 signatories to a statementcalling for a binding 2030 RE goal, a list that also features other industry heavyweightssuch as Gamesa, Dong Energy and Nordex.
The group hopes to ramp up the pressure after theEuropean Commission ignored calls for RE targets that are binding at nationallevel, instead opting for a 27% Europe-wide goal as part of its post-2020 policyframework.
