The deal – worth SKr600m ($92.3m) and said by the developer to be the first major deal by a Chinese supplier in Sweden – will see Dongfang install the direct-drive  turbines in 2015, adding 75MW to the 150MW already in place from phases one and two.

The awarding of the deal to a Chinese equipment supplier will come as a disappointment to European manufacturers, and especially Germany’s Nordex, which in 2011 won the order to supply 60 2.5MW
