The 110MW round of orders in German includes 44 of GE’s “Brilliant” 2.5-120 turbines destined for eight wind farms.
The majority of the German orders come as part of existing framework agreements GE has with the developers Juwi and Pfalzwerke, and the first project to use the machines – Juwi’s Rehborn wind farm – is already under construction.
Outside of Germany, GE Wind announced the sale of another 43 turbines to a range of developers across France, Scotland and Sweden.
