Now Nordex is a 10GW player
Nordex became the latest Germany-based wind turbine manufacturer to claim a 10GW milestone when it announced it has passed that threshold for “global installed nominal output”.
Nordex said the installation of a N117/2400 turbine at the 36MW Monaicha wind farm in Ireland tipped it over the line.
Nordex installed 506 machines across the world last year, it said.
Board member Lars Bondo Krogsgaard added: “Nordex has since installed 186 Generation Gamma N117/2400 turbines of the type now assembled in Ireland, with a further 199 under construction.”
Yesterday Senvion said it sailed through the 10GW mark thanks to early-2014 additions.
