BayWa sells German wind farm
BayWa Renewable Energy, the renewables arm of German trading company BayWa, has sold the 9.2MW Selmsdorf 3 wind park in the Northern German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to KKB Deutschland, a unit of Swiss utility Kleinkraftwerk Birseck.
BayWa had developed and built the wind park that was commissioned in December. It consists of four Enercon E82 turbines with a capacity of 2.3MW each.
“With the sale of the last phase of the Selmsdorf wind park, we show again that we have sustainable success with our business model of building turnkey wind and solar parks and selling them subsequently,” says BayWa RE managing director Matthias Taft.
