Members of Angus Council voted against the proposed NathroHill wind farm on environmental and policy grounds, backing the recommendationsof the council’s own planning officials.

The 17-turbine project will now have its fate decided by theEdinburgh government.

Eurowind said: “Ultimatelyit will be the Scottish government’s call as to whether Nathro Hill is approvedor not, but we are disappointed Angus Council have drawn up a policy that is ineffect a moratorium on commercial wind development.”
