The German orders came from developers Wpd and PNE Wind,among others. Nordex has been series-producing the IEC3 turbine since 2011.
The company’s announcement comes after Chancellor AngelaMerkel and premiers of German states late on Tuesday reached a compromise overa reform to the country’s Renewable Energy Act (EEG), which now foresees lessharsh limits to the scope and support of wind power than originally planned.
