Vestas gets 33MW Denmark order
Danish wind group Vestas has won a 33MW order in its own back yard from long-standing customer European Energy.
Vestas will deliver 10 of its V117-3.3MW turbines to the Ulvemosen project in Varde, Denmark.
The wind farm will the third and largest yet in Denmark to use that turbine model.
The deal includes a 15-year service agreement. Commissioning of the turbines is expected by the end of this year, Vestas said.
European Energy will build and operate the wind farm on behalf of plant-owner and financier Sampension – Denmark’s fourth-largest pension fund.
