Areva’s Renewable Energies business group made a €59m ($77m) lossbefore interest, tax, depreciaton and amortisation (Ebitda) in 2012, comparedto an €85m Ebitda deficit in 2011.
Areva’s growing offshore wind and bioenergy units both returnedpositive Ebitda performances, Areva said, but the renewables business as awhole suffered the impact of execution difficulties at unspecified solar projects.
Revenue from its renewables operations grew last year, delivering €572m to the group's coffers in 2012, up from 2011’s €297m.
