The deal follows Siemens’ own hiring in January as turnkey supplier of the offshore part of Noordoostpolder.
The project will see two rows of turbines installed 500m and 1.1km off the coast of Flevoland province, and a third row onshore at the edge of the coastline.
Utrecht-based construction group Ballast Nedam will be responsible for supplying and installing the 48 offshore foundations, after which transport and heavy-lift specialist Mammoet will see to the installation of the Siemens 3MW turbines.
