GE moved up the rankings because of the unprecedented boom in US installations — more than 12GW — in 2012, making almost 5GW of its 6.69GW of deliveries in its home market. More than half of its sales were to just five customers, IHS EER notes. GE also delivered 435MW in Brazil, 263MW in China and 257MW in Romania.
This is a testament to the strength of the company’s marketing and sales set-up in the US and its relationships with large customers.
