Gamesa will provide 16 of its G52 850kW machines to a wind farm being built byIberdrola Ingeniería on behalf of utility Kengen.
The Ngong 2 wind farm, located 30km outside Nairobi, will enter service in the second quarter of 2014, says Gamesa.
Gamesa says it already has an 850MW installed base in Africa, spanning Morocco, Tunis, Egypt and South Africa.
