The slimline 35-tonne design, nowmoving towards commercial production for Korean developer DeWind for its D12turbine, was proven to have 96.6% efficiency, withexpectations that it will be able to cut the levelised cost of energy by 6%.
Full-load tests of the jointly developed FusionDrive showed"good dynamic behaviour" and an overall sound power level of less than 96 dB(A)in all operation phases, with the unit's vibration tests "exceedingexpectations" under a shaft torque of up to 3,000kNm.
