AEE met Oettinger last week to discuss concerns over Madrid’s controversial changes to the regulatory framework, including a generation tax and retrospective measures on tariffs.
The body is fighting the measures within Spain and also wants the European Commission to act.
According to the AEE, Oettinger stressed the need for investors to be "clear and certain" when making decisions, and asked for further data on the economic impact of the measures.
