“Weaim to more than triple our share of renewable energies from today’s 12% toalmost 40% by 2020 – a significant increase – thereby also making a tangiblecontribution to the infrastructure that the energy system requires with ourconsiderable investments in network expansion,” CEO Frank Mastiaux said duringa presentation on the strategic overhaul of the company.
Themajority of EnBW is owned by the state of Baden-Württemberg and regionalmunicipalities, but the company has been a laggard in renewable energygeneration due to its previous focus on nuclear power.
