The Switch will deliver 100 direct drive 3MW permanent-magnet generator and full-power converter drive-trains to Prokon, which develops projects as well as supplying its own turbines.
Prokon is repeat customer for The Switch. It is now planning to install 100 turbines in Finland to add to its existing wind farm projects in Germany and Poland.
The Switch said when combined with repeat deals in China, its June order value alone surpasses €100m ($131m) – leaving the company with the biggest backlog in its history.
