Siemens will supply and install 76 of its SWT 3.0 direct drive turbines, in its largest contract for the model in the UK so far.
The German-owned wind turbine manufacturer has also been contracted to provide maintenance for the wind farm for five years after it becomes operational.
The order comes two months after the UK government gave Vattenfall the go-ahead for the project.
