Viitala, previously in several senior financial management positions in Finnish steel and steel construction company Rautaruukki, takes global responsibility for Moventas’ financial operations and business development.
He replaces Veli Kronqvist, who retires next year but will continue to work with Moventas on senior consultancy and financial management projects.
Hammer, formerly with Siemens, was named chief technology officer at the beginning of 2013 but has now been elevated to Moventas’ general management team.
