Blue Transmission was selected by Ofgem as preferred bidder for the London Array offshore transmission licence last September.
The venture beat three other bidders for the 20-year licence to maintain and operate the link, which was being run by London Array project partners Dong, E,ON and Masdar.
Half of the debt funding for the purchase was provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB).
