A 50/50 joint venture between engineering group Jones Bros and Balfour Beatty has bagged the civil and electrical work for Vattenfall’s 76-turbine Pen y Cymoedd project.
Balfour Beatty also has a role delivering the grid infrastructure work for the 228MW Pen y Cymoedd, this time in association with ABB.
Pen Y Cymoedd, located in the coastal mountain range between Port Talbot and the borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, is scheduled to produce first power in late 2016 using Siemens wind turbines.
