The Treasury today revealed 16 of the 40 projects it has pre-qualified for the £40bn ($64.5bn) Guarantee scheme, launched last year as a means of preventing delays to important infrastructure projects that may otherwise have stalled due to tightness in the credit markets.

Developers behind the other 24 projects declined to be publicly announced.

Mainstream’s £1.2bn Neart na Gaoithe was the only wind project to be revealed on the list, although several large biomass projects – including Helius Energy’s £300m Avonmouth biomass plant – also made the cut.
