Iberdrola – the world’s biggest wind power operator – increased by 2.5% its renewables division’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda), reaching €1.21bn.

That year-on-year boost came in the face of foreign exchange pressures in key currencies, without which Iberdrola said the Ebitda increase would  have been 4%.

Despite selling capacity, Iberdrola added a net 0.7% to its total during the period, reaching 13.86GW.
