Gamesa 285MW Finland agreement
Spanish wind group Gamesa has signed a framework agreement of up to 285MW for supply of its 5MW turbines to Finland.
Gamesa said the deal with Finnish developer TuuliWatti will see delivery of up to 57 G128 and G132 machines in 2015 and 2016 to various wind farms planned by the customer.
The turbines, designed for cold-weather operation, would be the most powerful operating in the Finnish market, says Gamesa.
The agreement includes a 10-year O&M component.
The new deal follows a 135MW framework deal signed with TuuliWatti in 2012.
TuuliWatti placed an initial order for three G128-5.0 MW turbines last month – the first for the model.
