German environment minister Peter Altmaier and Hannelore Kraft, the Social Democrat’s representative in energy coalition talks over the weekend said onshore wind power in the future should be limited to strong wind locations, while feed-in tariffs are likely to sink steeply.
Wind turbine maker Nordex fell 20.7% to €10.9 ($14.6) in early afternoon trading in Frankfurt.
The German home market makes up only a small part of the company’s revenue, but business at home had recently heated up with more orders for moderate-wind locations in southern Germany.
