EnBW’s net profit in the first nine months fell 58.6% to€243.1m ($325.2m) from a year earlier, although revenue went up 8.5% to€15.45bn.

But the company’s earnings before interest, taxes,depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) adjusted for extraordinary items fell2.5% to €1.82bn. Also excluding positive valuation effects on derivatives,operating earnings fell 7.3% to €1.75bn.
