EGP gets EIB loan for Romanian wind

Enel Green Power has secured a €200m ($271m) loan package from the European Investment Bank covering wind farms in the Banat and Dobrogea regions of Romania.

The EIB granted the facility to Enel Green Power International BV, the holding companies of EGP’s international subsidiaries.

The loan is secured by a guarantee issued by parent company Enel, and was set at a rate “competitive with the market benchmark”.

EGP has about 500MW of installed wind capacity in Romania, in addition to 36MW of PV.
