Vestas books 76MW more orders

Danish wind group Vestas has added another 76MW to its end-of-year order tally.

The manufacturer will supply 20 of its V110-2.0 MW turbines to the Ostazewo project in Poland – the first in Europe to deploy that model.

The order came from SPV – Nowotna Farma Wiatrowa, a subsidiary of Taiga Mistral, and includes a 15-year service contract.

Delivery and commissioning of the Polish turbines is expected in the final quarter of 2014.

Vestas has also announced 36MW-worth of orders for its V90-2.0 MW turbine.

At the customer’s request there are few further details of that order, except that installation and commissioning will take place in Q3 and Q4 next year, and the inclusion of a 15-year service agreement.

The deals follow a string of major orders announced by Vestas in the US.

The company’s year-to-date order total now stands at 5.214GW, excluding unannounced orders from the current final quarter of 2013.
