Gamesa wins 49MW China deal

Spanish wind group Gamesa has won a 49.3MW turbine supply deal in China.

Gamesa will deliver 25 of its G97-2.0MW machines for low-wind sites to company CGN Wind Energy for its Chengdingsha project in Shandong province.

The turbines will be delivered in July with completion of the plant due by the end of this year.

Gamesa said the deal is another boost in a province where it has already supplied 206MW.

The Spanish group has a relationship with CGN Wind Energy stretching back to 2009, it added.
