Gamesa has opened a service centre in Chennai, India, to act as a base for O&M activities in that country and Sri Lanka.

The new facility boasts a control centre for remote monitoring of the Spanish wind group’s turbines in the region.

It will also act as a logistics hub, training centre for Gamesa in India and Sri Lanka, where the company has installed more than 830 wind turbines.

Gamesa said: “The facility will also serve as a logistics centre, enabling part storage and repair work as well as the provision of training to Gamesa employees and customer staff.”
