Spanish wind group Gamesa has won a contract to build and equip a 50MW wind farm in India.

Gamesa will develop the project in Kosegaon, in the state of Maharashtra, for Indian power-producer Green Infra.

The plant will use 25 of the company’s G97-2.0 MW wind turbines and is expected to be finished by mid-2014.

The deal includes a 10-year maintenance agreement.

Gamesa said it has installed more than 900MW in India and manages more than 800MW under O&M agreements. It has a 4.3GW development pipeline in the country.
