More Goldman funds for ReNew

Goldman Sachs Group’s private-equity division has invested an additional $135m in Indian developer ReNew Power.

The Wall Street giant has now invested about $250m in ReNew since 2011.

ReNew, a wind farm developer and operator based in Gurgaon, currently has 200MW of installed capacity. It is targeting 1GW by 2015.

Last month, Goldman Sachs announced plans to invest up to ¥300bn ($2.9bn) in Japanese solar, wind and other renewable energy projects over the next five years.
