Goldwind boosted profits in the first quarter

Goldwind says it has signed a 2.1bn yuan ($341m) deal to buy components from two subsidiaries of Chinese state-owned railway group CNR.

A Goldwind official has confirmed to Recharge that the company will purchase 1.5MW and 2.5MW permanent-magnet generators and 1.5MW permanent-magnet generator stators from Xi’an Jie Li Electric Equipment and Xi’an Yongdian Jinfengkeji.

Xi’an Jie Li Electric Equipment is a unit of Yongji Xinshisu Electric Equipment (YXEE), a wholly owned subsidiary of CNR. In October, Goldwind announced the sale of an 80% stake in Xi’an Yongdian Jinfengkeji to YXEE.

Urumqi-based Goldwind recorded a net profit of 32.5m yuan ($5.28m) in the first quarter of this year, up from 6.2m yuan for the same period a year before. The company raised Log in to read complete article.
